We are HUGE fans of super hero movies in this household and have seen ALL the movies about the different Avenger characters. So, we are definitely excited about the upcoming release of the new MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron movie THIS FRIDAY, MAY 1st!!!

As a tech family, when we found out that there was also an app that goes with the movie, we couldn’t wait to try it out. With MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron Super Heroes Assemble app, you can actually virtually interact with the characters from the movie, as well as learn more about their backstories and even watch trailers for the upcoming film.

How to Use Marvel’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron Super Heroes Assemble App

Once you’ve downloaded the app, there are two different ways you can unlock the characters and access all the amazingly awesome interactive content.

1.  Visit Walmart.com/Avengers and then scroll down until you find “Unlock Epic Content”
(Also, don’t miss out on the other fun MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron products, activities and information that is at this great site! It’s a super fan’s dream).

2. Click on UNLOCK MORE EPIC CONTENT and one of a series of images will come up on your screen.

3. Open the app on your mobile device and go to “DISCOVER”.  Select from one of the characters at the top of the screen and match the image that pops up to one of the images on the “Unlock Epic Content” page . Next, simply hold your phone up so your phone screen overlays with the image on your computer.

4. Congratulations, you’ve unlocked some of the epic content.  You can repeat the same process with each of the images until you’ve unlocked everything available online.

5. For ADDITIONAL amazing MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron content, you can also go to Walmart stores and scan specially marked products like Doritos and Cheez-Its or look for in-store signage in the electronics department by the movies or in the toy department.

Once you’ve got all the content unlocked there are many ways that you can interact with the Superheroes Assemble app and all of its different superhero options.

Hulkbuster Testing Facility

Here you can have a 360 degree experience where you’ll feel like part of the action as you test out all the capabilities of the Mark 44 Hulkbuster Armor.

Photo Opps

Both in store and at home you can scan images to bring The Avengers characters to life in 3D.  Put yourself in the photo posing with your favorite Avenger or just have fun playing with the various options.(You can see here, Captain America has taken over my computer keyboard!!)

Suit Up

This is your chance to actually transform yourself into one of your  favorite characters, by adding weapons and other Avenger gear to a photo.  I think that this was probably the part of the app my kids liked the best, especially once they discovered that you can mix and match from all the different characters. (Oh and yes, my daughter even insisted on dressing up for her part as Hawkeye!)

Movie

Definitely don’t miss out on this section of the app where you can watch trailers for the upcoming MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron Movie. After seeing these previews, the movie can’t get here fast enough for us!

Characters

Here is where to go to learn more about all the characters from the movie, to view unique character art and to access the different character themed products available at Walmart stores or online at Walmart.com.

My kids and I have had a blast exploring all the fun features this app offers. Not only have we had the chance to learn more about our favorite characters and the upcoming movie, but actually getting to try out being an Avenger was fantastic.
